[announce] osd - aosd libaosd
 

While trying to obtain some graphical feedback from a few custom scripts...
I discovered that Maemo is missing a proper osd tool and lib to write some info over any application.

So i have prepared a little build of libaosd and aosd_cat, an enhanced tool similar at the old xosd with support for transparency, libxcomposite, image loading and a complete font support.

If you want give it a try, here it is.

examples:
# Hello world
echo "Hello World" | aosd_cat -f 10 -u 100000 -n "bitstream bold 55" -R cyan -t 1 -i -

# Progress bar
echo "IIIIIIIII---------" | aosd_cat -f 10 -u 100000 -n "bitstream bold 55" -R cyan -t 1 -i -

# image (transparent 90%)
image -a 90 -i file.png
