On my N800, I create an m3u file in /home/user/MyDocs/.sounds

The file start with the following
#EXTM3U

Each station have the following information

#EXTINF:-1,Radio_Paradise_64K
http://64.5.58.148:80/

#EXTINF:-1,DI_Ambient
http://205.188.215.228:8006

OK, I red back, and didn't understand what was your question. When listening with media player. Use the top pulldown menu, under tools there is "save 'now playing' playlist as..." and also "add media stream to library". When you want to use them again, still under the menu, select view library and navigate to your playlist.
