Problem with LPS on N9

Hello,

I got another N9 for my GF, it already has PR1.3 (40.2012-21-3_PR_001) and I didn't do full reflash, just ran reset.

Everything work (battery consumption actually better than mine), it's just LPS (display) that bothers me.

On my N9 as soon as I lock screen or enters locked state by itself, brightness is also lowered. If proximity sensor is covered it will go blank in a few seconds and when uncovered, it will lit up again.

Not on her's N9 -- screen locks, but it's always glowing at 100%, it will not dim by itself. Also, when proxinity sensor is covered screen will go blank, but won't recover by itself (stays blank) and double tap doesn't work -- you have to press button.

I should probably do complete reflash, but still -- is there some option that I overlooked and is this behaviour set somewhere in preferences?

Seems like broken proximity sensor. Your not first. Search it and you threads where people buy new for 20€ and has more help to fix it.

Not sure trought if screen goes black if you cover it..

I had the same problem after installing n9 quick tweak. I could not solve it until I uninstall the app ()

Thanks all, I'll look into options during weekend and I really hope it's not broken sensor (fingers crossed) :)

Cheers,

i had this same exact problem with my n9. Try removing the screen and reconnecting the proximity sensor, and make sure the screen is in ALL THE WAY in
