Copy/paste in the browser..
 

I can't copy/paste text in the stock browser and webcat browser.
Is it normal behavior or something wrong with my phone ?

And another question, when you want to write new message for example, vkb start with small letters instead with capital letters. It's also not implimented yet ?

Copy&Paste only works in text areas and text inputs currently. ie. you can't select text from just anywhere on the screen. Same problem in the Mail app though you can select text at least when you start replying.

The keyboard also doesn't auto-capitalise so no starting with a capitlal or switching to a capital after a period is typed.

They're surely coming at some point but aren't implemented yet.

Thanks for answer, but also not in in text arias you can copy/paste, for example here in this forum..

Heh, just noticed there's a thread for this, which evidently predates the copy/paste patch by @coderus
(well, it's selection/copy actually, but who cares)

So until 1.1.9.28 the feature could be activated with patching the browser with https://openrepos.net/content/coderu...election-patch This worked for all SFOS versions pretty neatly.

Now, in 1.1.9.28 the patch seems to no longer apply, even though TextSelectionController.qml and TextSelectionHandle.qml seem not to have changed.
It seem the selection activation in WebView.qml no longer works... :mad:

When "// TextSelectionController {}" is uncommented, browser fails to start...

Has anybody looked into this, to update the patches?

Same prob here.
But I resisted to post as I expected 2.0 to be perfect {providing similar functionality as my 2001 Siemens S10 ;)}

A workaround landed now in webcat git to avoid the clipboard being stucked issue in lipstick that also could lead to be not able to copy anything from webcat or other apps.

This commit fixes the issue: https://github.com/llelectronics/web...da17fc9512755d

Positive side effect it unstucks the lipstick clipboard so copy and paste works in general again.

All things related to working with text should be improved in Jolla. Mainly in the browser but all things/apps related to text forms should be improved. Especially edit.

But start with browser.

And add option to select arrow keys in main keyboards....
