Really Newbie with Linux
 

Hi,
I have a nokia 770 and I am trying to install a few games and stuff, but i'm having a hard time with the installation. I was wondering is there any kind of instruction manual or a site which can give me step-by-step instructions on how to install applications/games on my tablet.

You can do a few searches or go to www.maemo.org and set up something called repositories. Its in your app manager. It should show you a list of programs for the IT.

I just installed instant messenger, FB reader, Battle Gweled, LXdoom and Maemo Block. The 1st two applications work fine but none of the games work, any idea why this is happening.

I tried the NES emulator but nothing worked. I downloaded the games from maemo.org but. My screen shrunk to a tiny straight line when I tried to run it from xterm.
