Help with streaming live internet radio stream
I've had the Nokia 770 for almost 2 weeks now and found it useful in streaming internet radio stations, especially with Streamtuner. However, the one station that I really want to listen to is not supported. The station of interest is: mms://mrbi.live79.com/kmrb (it plays fine using M$ media player). The URL from URLSnooper2 is: rtsp://mrbi.live79.com/kmrb
I've tried using Xterm with the following command to try to stream via Mplayer, but it didn't work: mplayer -vo null -ao gst -cache 256 rtsp://mrbi.live79.com/kmrb I've also tried the same command with other URLs, and Mplayer loaded and streamed without problems. Is it the URL? Any suggestion is greatly appreciated! |
Re: Help with streaming live internet radio stream
Well the command you would use is:
mplayer -vo null -cache 256 -playlist mms://mrbi.live79.com/kmrb but I'm having problems with this as well, even from my Linux based HTPC it doesn't work, first time I've seen that. You might be SoL on this. |
Re: Help with streaming live internet radio stream
Thanks bac522. I've also tried that command (mplayer -vo null -cache 256 -playlist mms://mrbi.live79.com/kmrb), but as you've found out, it doesn't work. I think my next move is to use either TVersity or Orb to stream. Which one is better and/or easier to use?
