IMAP settings for iCloud "plain password"
 

I don't want my password to be sent in clear text to the outgoing mail server. My current settings, which work, are:

Secure connection: TLS
Port: 587
Authentication: plain password

iCloud settings should be:

SSL Required: Yes
If you receive errors when using SSL, try using TLS instead.
Port: 587
SMTP Authentication Required: Yes

Any suggestions?
