Charging with a 2A power source

Has anyone tried charging their n900 with a 2A power source and is it safe? (ex: a tablet micro-usb 2A charger). Will the n900 be damaged?

providing the voltage is correct, ie 5v I should not worry for the excess current, it is the charging device that sinks as much current as it needs, rather than the power supply pushing current.

Yup, that reminds me of the time at college when a class-mate got an electric shock and could not get it over his head that 250V/6A written on the socket did not mean he got 6A through him :)

Off-topic - it would be interesting exercise for him / that college class, to calculate how much current he got, considering density and humidity of tissues acting as short ;)

Similar case when a student was asked to measure the current of a power supply, she/he put the amp-meter leads directly on the mains socket ...
