Hi i am a keen computer...ist??

i want to start developing programs for the nokia 770.

I have basic html code if that helps??

Can some body piont me in the direction of where to begin please.

TBF,

you see from the previous two comments that your HTML code skills are not a good starting point.

If you want to develop your own GUI applications, my recommendation would be to start learning the Python scripting language (google for it) together with the PyGTK bindings for the GUI. You will be able to develop and mostly test your program on a PC (esp. if it runs Linux), then transfer the script file(s) to the N770 and execute it with the python interpreters you'll find on the developer's site http://www.maemo.org
