Email dead, but calendar still syncs
 

I've had an n9 for a few years now and this morning my email stopped syncing. I deleted the account and it didn't come back but my calendar was imported from my work's google account even though none of the email was pulled. I googled around and found more than one suggestion here to delete the /home/user/.qmf directory. I gave it a try but it didn't fix my problem. I ended up doing a clear device reset and it's still broken.
Unfortunately none of the other threads seem to have anything to try after deleting the directory :(
Is there anything else I could attempt?

Guess I'll bump with some more info. I tried wiping the device by doing
After the wipe it synced about 40 emails and then refused to ever do so again. I tried adding another exchange server to the phone and it wouldn't sync that as well.
After doing a flash wipe I really think I'm SoL. Anything else to try?
