Help needed in getting n900 back to life....
 

Hello,

Few weeks ago my n900 had a network issue so i had to try flashing it for the first time.
I REALLY need every help i can get in order to get the device working, all i need is the COMBINED flash image GLOBAL RELEASE.downloaded it before buh during the flashing i gat this error message [ INVALID IMAGE ID], figured its a corrupted file....

Please i really need the image or a link to it, you can attach the file via mail@ xcaletblink@yahoo.com

Unfortunately it is a little large to attach it as an attached file for me to send you in an "e" ...

A few members here have links to firmware in their signatures in their posts... just look around.

My guess what could be the issue is...

1- Either your copy was somehow not the right version of the global...

2- or your copy was corrupted somehow...

3- or your device should be using a diff firmware version than global.

4- or none of the above...and considering it is the very 1st time you have ever tried flashing your firmware....odds are you botched the job...I can't say it went smoothly the 1st time I flashed my n900...it took me a few go's to get it.

Once you got it ...there's nothing to it.

mehn please the above link is not working.. the file downloads and when it hits 88.1mb of 191mb it just hangs.
i tried it many times and at different places buh it won't work, guess it no network issue....

PLEASE I NEED ANOTHER LINK THAT WORKS..

both download just fine
most likely your hard disk has bad sectors...

• save the file to an external disk / memory card
• backup your data /!\ & replace your disk...
• (this may also be the reason why your flashing failed before)

I just now downloaded BOTH links fully to see if the links were dead.
They're not.
