Battery measurements accuracy

I noticed that bnf, using the bq27x00 module seems to produce much more accurate results (bme says it 0% and the device has been running a long time on 0%). Are my observations true? How to achieve maximal accuracy of the battery measurements done by the battery applet? Does the bq2415x_charger module provide some additional functionality?

they are indeed true. I usually stop the bme in favor of the bnf

And what should I do to use bq27x00 instead of bme for the battery applets? My bme is going crazy: thinks that charge is 300 out of 5.
