Cisco Clean Access
Institution just activated Cisco clean access, which, because of a Java Applet involved with "clean access" has rendered my N800 useless for internet access. So before I go shoot a rant at the IT folks, is there any setting for clean access that does not involve a Java Applet? I'd like to know so I can send the complaint AND the solution at the same time.

Re: Cisco Clean Access
You will most likely need to supply your MAC address ( see "WLAN MAC address" in control Panel "About Product"). The sysadmins *should* allow access to your N800 without login.

Re: Cisco Clean Access
My school uses Clean Access, but I can use the N800...
We have to install the Clean Access to use lan, but for Wifi, if I open the N800 browser, it takes me to the Clean Access login. Once I login, I'm good to go. |
Re: Cisco Clean Access
From what I'm told, the cisco clean access my school uses does an os scan. If it detects windows they must have the agent installed. Mac and linix users go straight to the weblogin screen. It maybe the IT staff hasn't configured it yet. The 1st week or 2 I was not able to connect to our wifi cause it wasn't configured for non windows users and I had to complain in person at their office.
