linux shell on the N800?
 

Is it possible to get a linux shell up on the N800? How? OS 2007.

if you are talking for a terminal (command line interface)
there is osso xterm you can find it at www.maemo.org

install osso-xterm package and you will have command line access. you will need becomeroot package if you want root access to the device

There is no Linux without a shell, and the N800 runs under Linux.

Better than the xterm package is to install ssh and login from your computer.

Well, better is relative. ;) I could never get ssh to work. Osso xterm works fine though.
