High CPU Usage when N900 idle

If anyone that could provide a solution to this, it would be much appreciated.

I have had an n900 for 5 years, replaced it with another recently due to screen issues. I flashed the new one with Maemo 5 (same as my previous phone) and as far as I'm aware all my settings are the same as before.

I couldn't get the new phone to last even a day with my old battery or the new one, so I bought a replacement battery and same problem. I installed batterygraph and it is showing maximum CPU usage when the phone is idle, with no programs running, however when I was charging the phone and using the internet on it, the CPU usage was lower and in bursts. This is one constant maximum.

It has drained the battery from 91% to 61% in an hour by being idle. I have no apps installed other than the factory default and batterygraph.
