Best deal I've seen in a while on an immaculate N800....

The guy just reduced the ebay auction.
It has everything you need except the charger (which are plentiful and cheap at this point in time)
the auction has 2 hours and 0 minutes left.
He has 2 immaculate n800's for auction...(one after the other..don't know if this is the 1st or the last here...)
so if this one sells he'll put the other up prob. immediately. (if it's still available...)
If this one doesn't sell...I'm sure he is going to auction it again.(perhaps at the current reduced price or perhaps at the original higher price ...and who knows? possibly reduce it again or not...speculation on my part)
For those interested ...
Grab it while you can...
I haven't seen a price this low in quite some time now.

hm...no one interested in buying or bidding?
or...
canny poker players waiting for the last moment to grab it?
:D
Hmm...
well if anyone here does grab it in the end...
post here to shout your victory "Yop"
I'm dying of curiosity to see who gets it.

I'm tempted...but I feel 3 n800's again is just 1 too many.
2 is more than adequate ...1 for use...1 for testing...a third would simply sit (like the last one did for 5 years in a drawer) as backup in case one of the others catastrophically died.
It was better to give my last 3rd n800 away to someone who would develop on it for the greater good.
so I consider myself no competitor

Wow...jumped the queue!
someone got an itchy-trigger finger and jumped the auction queue! Went for gold and shot for the buy-out!
Still a decent price at the buy-out ....cheaper than other n800's on auction...
at 1 hour 50-ish minutes left!

Okokokokok...
soooo....
who got it?
anyone here?
if so ...
don't you dare hold out...
I'm stupid-curious :D

Arghhh the suspense is killing me!
Who got it?
An established member?
A new member?

Hm.
Well...if that was the 1st of the 2 n800's we should see the 2nd come up for auction in a day or so...I'm going to monitor this seller and we'll see...I'll post the moment he put's the 2nd up for auction to give a heads up for those interested...

In view of all your hard work providing walkthroughs, I couldn't resist as about 35 GBP shipped to UK!

Ah!
The wiener ladies and gents!
Aw shucks asp. yur makin' me blush.
Not a bad deal on it even for the buy out eh?
Oh you'll enjoy the sucker ...
it's a comfy device... in it's retro-lookin' kinda way...
like hot chocolate and wool sweaters on a cold winter day.
Have fun with it.

Now that that mystery is solved..

I guess it's waiting to see if the 2nd n800 is going to come up for auction...

Re: Best deal I've seen in a while on an immaculate N800....

Ah...davedavedave...
hm...patience ...lets just wait and see if that last n800 that asp. got is the 1st of the two. If it was... then ...I'm guessing in less than a couple of days he'll put the 2nd up for auction.Contacting the seller to see if he IS going to put the 2nd up for auction may make him consider jacking his price up...which no one wants. If however asp. got the 2nd of the two n800's (since the seller didn't specify in the auction post that he had already sold one or not...I'm assuming he hadn't ..) then that is that and we will not see a 2nd pop up in auction inside the next 2 days.

I'm monitoring mr. seller...the moment he (hopefully) throws the 2nd up for auction I'll post the announcement here.

edit: Yeah Dave...when it boils down to bid and the option to buy-out ...you have a choice... grab it for the more expensive buy out price...or throw a bid down immediately so it disables the buy-out option for possible other contenders and forces them to contest with you...or gamble that no one will bid or buy it out ...and in the last couple minutes of the auction put a sucker-punch bid in hoping to snag it for the opening asking price...I would heartily suggest afterward putting a max bid amount on it that makes you feel comfortable so that if someone else has the same idea to jerk it out of your hands at the last second the computer will automatically bid you up a few cents higher than the competitor's bid...so said competitor can't pry it from your hands at the very last second of the auction by simply bidding a couple pennies higher than you did.

 Cool factor?
That enough for you Dave? :D
Naw...if you love your n900...
and you've never used a n800...
then I'm sure you'd find you'd like it.

It may be retro...
it may be older...
and it may be slightly limited compared to the n900...but as well it can do a few things the n900 hasn't yet...
And the n8x0 line is still better than anything else I've seen or used shy of the n900. And such a great device at such a price is a deal.
