[DEV] Android app compatibility for Sailfish OS
 

Devices that can have Sailfish ported to them via the HADK lack android app support. This thread is designed to enable android app compatibility via Cyanogenmod (what sailfish is flashed on top of, for ported devices).

I have gotten to the stage of "booting" into Cyanogenmod from sailfish and getting to the setup page. Touch on this page does not work, and the previous ssh connection (used to start the android services) breaks. Leaving the device pretty much useless until a restart. I currently do not know how to get the touch and other things working.

Good point, I have edited the first post to include the modified init.rc file, along with the commands I used to "boot" into CM. I should also point out I'm using the Nexus 5, so its using CM11, but it should be transferable.

chroot-ing into the android emulator image which talks to a renderer via tcp is something being developed, but the lack of knowledge about OpenGL is hindering progress. If you know OpenGL then please head over to This thread for more information.
