Hi,
When Facebook shuts down the chat and contacts support for third party apps - meego will be effected either - won't it ?

Sure, that's the way with proprietary and closed protocols & SW.
It will stop working and there'll be nobody fixing it :D

Actually they are changing the API(https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/changelog), nothing gets shut down(besides the old API itself). And the new API is open, so it is up to whoever is interested to implement whatever is needed using the new API (in case of n900 and photo upload this is one of the thing I do now).
Not that I like the situation, but blaming FB given that initial announcement was given 4 years ago seems a little bit of unfair to me - https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/616/ .

how you upload photos to fb and to fb chat via conversations ?
as only fb chat works for me not sharing plugin nor wiget

Not via conversations, but via "share". It still works for those that didn't change their password recently, so the so-called "session_key" they got when they registered is still valid. But that will stop by the end of April (iiuc). Hopefully, I will be ready with the replacement by then :) .

If the chat stop then as well, we'll have to reimplement it using the new API. Lets see.
