MicroB engine
Long time ago, I posted about having problem with reading SMS messages. Also, I haven't mentioned it much, but MicroB doesn't open anything - not even about:mozilla - it just goes into infinitely long "loading" state.
Wondering if former is caused by the latter, I am looking into MicroB errors. -:1: error: invalid string constant "osso-combobox-entry-arrow", expected valid string constant ERROR:bvEalController:SetupEngine :115: mNotify is NULL What does it mean? What's the problem with MicroB engine? And yes, specifying --engine=mozilla does not make a difference. Similarly, if I attempt to start nokia-maps, I get: dbus_message_dispatch: got wrong message: (4)org.freedesktop.DBus.NameAcquired(s) Two or three times in a row ^ Nokia maps do not open. If there are any other tests which can be done to figure out what's wrong with MicroB engine, or to fix it, please, tell me. I am currently trying to reinstall microb-eal, on the random chance that engine-library is somehow corrupted, and getting the proper library could help? Only, I have no idea why it complains about nokia.com repositories when I try to do that... microb-eal is available from maemo.org, right? Thank you. Best wishes. Re: MicroB engine
Seems you are not following close on TMO lately? ;)
Nokia repos are all down and lots (all) of other services like supl, store, etc. also. Please see this for mirror of downloads.maemo.nokia.com. Maps is just a hmtl app so needs browser. Why your microb does not want to start no idea :( Possibly FS corruption? Or some package missing (did you optify like reinob)? |
Re: MicroB engine
Yes, it's definitely some problem with MicroB engine. Question is, what kind of problem? Re-installing microb-eal (yes, it is available on maemo.org directly; though, it might need maemo5.0 distribution) did not seem to fix it.
/And yes, nokia.com repositories being down, and apt-get complaints about it, were pretty much ignored by me, all this time... Heard, but not thought about/ Where do I get strace package from? I do not see it in apt-get... /Of course, I can go Debian-hunting for armel-compiled version of the package, like I did with xpaint.../ Reinstalling browser-eal, just in case. And reading /etc/ld.so.conf... Thank you. Best wishes. [Edit] There were only two microb lines. So I am prepending the other lines /usr/X11R6/lib /usr/local/xrdp /usr/local/lib /usr/lib /lib /usr/lib/microb-engine /usr/lib/microb-engine/components to see what it gives. [Edit2] Exactly same errors [/Edit2] [/Edit] |
