1.1.6 Drains battery?
Hi,
Just wanted to share because I've the feeling SFOS 1.1.6 drains the battery of the Jolla way more quickly than previous versions. Of course, I've rebooted the phone. Anyone else to share his/her feelings about this? |
Re: 1.1.6 Drains battery?
No difference for me.

Rebooted phone, killed everything unofficial from autostart, and used only sialfish native official applications?

Nope, kept iso-functional (same softwares, same settings, same patches). Wouldn't be able to see any difference otherwise.

Re: 1.1.6 Drains battery?
My experience is just the opposite, the idle power consumption is very low, the battery can last 3 to 4 days with a light use.
For me the previous update was such a power hog, and even with a light use the battery was not able to reach 2 days. |

Re: 1.1.6 Drains battery?
To get some hard data if power-effiency has changed over latest releases, I decided to re-run my one-week-powergraph experment that I did two months ago.
In a week I'll be able to compare the results :) |
Re: 1.1.6 Drains battery?
Interesting @juiceme, but this raises 2 questions for me:
- as I didn't run any "real" experiment before the update, if I do this now, I don't how I will be able to use this results, any idea? - could you please describe the process to run such measures? Thanks. |
Re: 1.1.6 Drains battery?
@romu I installed SysMon / System Monitor, which gives the opportunity to log CPU, battery, etc. for at least a week. After reboot you have to start the engine again, unfortunately.
Just after the update I installed whatsup, so I cannot really compare. CPU seams more jumpy than before. battery usage about the same, a little more consumption. |
