Custom Icons for Your IT
Another small tutorial I wrote up :)
I have seen lots of posts and such in all kinds of places, but never an organized tutorial for putting custom navigator icons (the big icons of the big left-hand menu). So, here it is. (For Ubuntu and Debian users only, sorry everybody else!) http://geekpenguin.blogspot.com/2007...ons-on-it.html |
Re: Custom Icons for Your IT
How about what you did for the rest of the theme as well?
BTW, the fox icon shows up with a horrible white "background" around it. An easier method exists as well: 1. Bluetooth the three .png files over and save them in "Documents" 2. Open up a terminal on the IT and type in "sudo gainroot" 3. Type in "cd /home/user/MyDocs/.documents" 4. Now type in "cp *.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon" (NOTE: Since those are the only .png files I have in that folder on my IT I could do it that way...otherwise you'll have to type in each filename or wildcard it different like "qgn*.png" or something like that) Done. |

Ah, well...
Receiving files is really a delicate process on the IT, and I think it requires sobexsvr? Eh, I don't know why it has that background, it is transparent... hm... Oh, well, that is an old pic. That is not a custom theme, that is the maemo vista theme https://garage.maemo.org/projects/vista-n800/ But, the default theme looks a lot cooler with those icons. |
Re: Custom Icons for Your IT
Ok, fixed the fox icon! :)

Re: Custom Icons for Your IT
And the rest of what you did to "tweak" your theme?
|
Re: Custom Icons for Your IT
Hmm.... I will write something for that ;)
