Testing a newly received, used N900
I've just received a used N900. Now the question is: is there any way to reliably test its condition? [I have 10 days to give it back]
USB port, SIM card not recognized - anything else to test against? |

non-responsive spots on touchscreen...
that'd be a gud-un... onboard speakers and headphone jack...they can go wonky...I'd check those too. |

contacts inside the headphone jack can get worn..or damaged..crud does get in an open port...it'll give you something to clean at the least..
never bothered to clean (my 1st n900) until last summer...the crud I cleaned out ...surprising how much dirt gets into... what I thought was a well kept device... |

That is exactly what to use....
I knew there was something... a few times now lately there has been crap I used to know... bugs me...feels like I'm playing charades with my own memory... my mind has been elsewhere and has not been on the ball the last few months... |

Try to charge and flash to check USB port.
Ofc default testing: phone, WLAN, camera, ... but Healthchecknis a good start.. |
