Self importance test

Found this fun little bit linked off of atmaspheric: Technosailor Self Importance Test

Here's what it said about me:

Give it a try and post your results!

You are like Darren Rowse. You are relatively mild mannered, confident in how you operate and choose not to "rock the boat". Your ego does not flair often. Instead, you choose to assist other bloggers as much as possible. In some cases, you may find it to be your mission in life. You do not participate in a large amount of social networking and if you do, you're not particularly aggressive about "friending" people. To you, it is a waste of time that could be used for more productive things.

Why? I'd have to say your results are pretty accurate based on my observations from simply reading a large number of your posts. So here's some dime store analysis, fwiw.

1. Confident in how you operate. Can't argue with that one at all.
2. Assisting others. You do this quite often.
3. Not aggressive about friending. Refers back to the confidence thing. I think you're very secure in your opinions without coming off as arrogant (IMO, some obviously won't agree) and could pretty much give a (Tex)rat's arse if people share your opinon or not.

As far as I'm concerned, none of these are a bad thing. :)

So what score do you get if you think these tests are too lame to fill out?

Tests can be fun, but the most puzzling one is the one that asks what kind of computer you have. A lot of us would have trouble answering that question, because we don't have just one computer. It didn't accept multiple answers, either.

I took the liberty of running that for you:

You are most like John C. Dvorak!

You are a crusty curmudgeon who finds something negative in everything. Your favorite pasttime is to point out flaws in the things you want to like. Your favorite color is black, lucky number is 13, and best-loved song is "Short People" by Randy Newman. You think people are a waste of good leather. Your goal in life is to get Steve Jobs and Steve Ballmer into a mud-wrestling match, bill it as "Apocolypse of the Two Steves", and retire in style from the proceeds.
:p

Same problem here, but since Macs outnumber the Linux boxes in my house I chose Mac.

@karel - Aw, c'mon. It's supposed to be lame and silly. :p

Wow. That is so, like, spot-on.

Except that my outline says "porridge", not "mud".

Hmm.. I'm most like Darren Rowse, it says. Who the @# is Darren Rowse?

(I don't know such things. E.g. I see the name "Jessica Simpson" thrown around like everywhere, apparently she's somebody someone's supposed to know about. I have absolutely no idea and I couldn't care less. So there! I've heard about Bill and Steve, ok?) ;)
