help please, 2 things
 

as i said before, i don't know a damn thing about this os. so, i have to return my 770 because of a dead pixel. i backed up my system, (notes, gpe-todo, etc...). i tried to open the files and they show up as zip files and i can't open them. why is that? i just hope it saved everything i've done including program downloads.

second thing is, can i download the os update directly to this unit from the forum link?

No, the OS update requires a PC->770 connection. Plus, you must unzip the update folder on your PC. This is Windows, which is the only method I've used.
