Could anyone please compile a r8187 driver?

I'm desperately trying to get my Alfa Awus036h working with my N810, but still no success. Has anyone compiled the driver and could share it, or tell me how to manage it?

I want to use the standard e-mail client of the N810.

I entered as POP3 pop.gmx.net and as SMTP mail.gmx.net, just like the FAQ of gmx says.

But all i get is an error while authenticating with...

Is there a way to make pidgin to blink the blue status led in the top left corner of the N810 when a new message arrives? Like it does when there is a new email or a message by rtcomm?
