Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Teaser Video
There's a huge difference in having a 680g device in your bag and/or your hands versus having one of 380g only, it's almost weighting the half.

Re: IPhone: *Thumbs up* for Apple
Exactly. I've iphoned colleagues who laugh to my E71 and N810 hardware keyboards stating that "hardware keyboards are past, and will disappear in the near future".
Now, give them an external BT...

Re: €599 vs $649
Why not? By law, to put a mark "made in Finland", at least the last process of the production chain must have been in Finland. Exactly how my "made in Ireland" Dell was produced / assembled in a...

Re: €599 vs $649
Elsewhere in this group someone said the one sold on nokiausa.com is made in Finland.
Well, my E71 is marked "made in Finland". Don't know if this is referred to the assembly only or what...

Re: €599 vs $649
I'm talking about "made in EU" products. Those are cheaper in Europe. Did you have a chance to compare prices for Italian shoes ? Or French saxophones ? Or German photographic material ? All this...

Re: €599 vs $649
Not true. The majority of (real) "made in EU" products are cheaper in EU than in USA (as it should be).
Just an example, RIMOWA suitcases (made in Germany):
Same suitcase 609,00 € (inc. taxes)...

Re: €599 vs $649
There's no written rule that these shall be the facts. From an european company I would expect something different.
I'm going to USA next January, I may buy it there (although I'm not sure...

€599 vs $649
N900 is available as preorder on both Nokia Germany and USA.
The prices are respectively €599 and $649 (= €441 at today's change).
As long as we have this disparity in prices on different...

Re: Price of N900 Crazy or just me?
Unfortunatly we (Europeans) have seen it from many companies, the 1:1 conversion when on the market €1 = $1.4
But from Nokia, as an European company, I would expect a more fair quotation toward...

Re: First N900 Review
Quite disappointed.
One of the main reasons I (still) use my N810 is watching movies on trains or similar. In respect of this the 3.5 screen is a no-buy to me.

Re: Can phone users live on VOIP alone?
Here in Austria there's A1 which afaik is the first mobile operator in the world to provide such a service (called "A1 over IP").
At a first glance, it is very interesting: same phone number...

@CVBruce: you're right, but there are cases where that's useful: for example in a train I can place the E71 against the window and check the map at my place,...

pair N810 with E71's GPS
I've a new E71 and I was trying to pair its GPS with my N810.
Bluetooth connection works fine (I use it to tether), an E71's shows GPS's location almost immediatly. However when I launch wayfinder...

E71 overcomes N810
At work I got this phone and I've to say it really limits the need to bring along the N810.
It has almost everything (and more) I was using in the IT in a third of space and weight:
- gps...

still about GPS crappiness
I know, we arleady talked a lot about it.
But I'd like to discredit the legend of N810's GPS crappines.
True, getting a fix may be though sometimes (better with aGPS), but once it has one, it...
