oops sorry, you're right...it should be broadcasting signal, not accepting...
what I meant is that I configured my router to only broadcast "g" WiFi signal and enable it to search for the best...

say you want to execute vi command, then type this shortcut:
"v,i,KP_Enter"

I experienced the same problem a few days ago.
I finally able to resolve it, but you need router admin access to do this.
