Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread
Easier/better to root and install AdFree imo, kills nearly all ads in all apps (including Angry Birds), as well as when browsing. The best reason to root the Tab for me.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread
Correct, no N900, too chunky for me :) I do own a 770 and 810. 810 was effectively replaced by the iPhone 4. Air is my notebook. Tab is the perfect in between...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread
Do you own a Tab? I own an 11" Air, iPhone 4 and an iPad. I'm a huge Apple fan. The Tab design is right up there, and for my needs is overall a better device than the iPad.
But you're probably...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread
Definitely no such stutter here, silky smooth even on a site like Engadget.
(Plus my homescreens are relatively heavy duty widget wise, although I do keep my number of open tasks under control.)

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread
I don't quite follow - if you don't hold the device using the bezel how do you hold it? Using just the edges+back?
The problem with a multi-touch display of course is that if you touch the actual...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread
I do disagree about the bezel - I find the current Tab one only just big enough, preferring the iPad size (of bezel). I hated the look of the big bezel on the iPad when it was announced, but Apple...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread
I'm very impressed with the Tab as a mobile games machine - performance is good and the screen is great. Most of the games you see there are keepers; I've bought and returned/refunded a lot more...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread
I only have one other home screen, pic attached plus a (hopefully) better sized version of the first one. I use only the widgets provided with LauncherPro, plus a weather one called simply "Weather...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread
Thought I'd post my Tab homescreen to give people an idea of what you can achieve with a bit of simple customization. This is what I miss on my iPad!
(Pixel density of 180 and using LauncherPro...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread
FWIW I've tried all the browsers on the Tab and Opera Mobile is by far the best, for me personally. As the only one to use hardware acceleration it has the instant response and smooth scrolling which...

Tether to HTC Touch Dual?
Hi, has anybody managed to do this by any chance? This is a WM6 phone - it pairs ok, but when I try and connect my 810 just says "connection failed to phone".

The vim webpage is currently down - could somebody possibly link me to a mirror please? I'm in fairly urgent need of it to fix up my recently reflashed device.
Thanks in advance,
Andy

Enter Standby Mode Without Using Cover?
Does anybody know if there is a way? None of the "quick press" power button options do exactly what I want (i.e. to do what sliding the cover on does).
An unrelated question I've thought of while...
