Did you install mer installer -> then Install bootmenu? Then after you add the ubuntu.item to have to refresh the menu. It worked for me, and trust me I'm very noob :D

Thanks for the replay. I don't have xomap installed.
I Installed xorg, I saw that now I have the etc/default dir, but no x-server.defs was created there. I have the same error yet

I reinstalled everything but it is just failing on me. After the apt-get install tablet-gdm-autologin I got an error, saying gdm.conf.template is missing :confused: I created a fake gdm.conf.template...

Lxde install worked for me as well but now I'm stick at the logon screen: I know, it's a stupid question, but I cannot see any virtual keyboard, how do I actually write username & pw? :o

Ok, i cloned my internal flash on a sd card (writing this post from it now :)) so i can now easily restore if st goes wrong... so I'm going to try your procedure again... sorry for the stupid...
