after a lot of frustration, i found out that one guy in my department wrote a program that (in the middle of other operations) checks the battery level of the nokia N810 devices; is written in C++...

on my N810 the application button (the third on the left) seems to work fine...so, everything seems to work now!!!
For the record, as client I'm using vncviewer on ubuntu intrepid.

I have the same problem: everything works fine with the exception of the third button of the menu in the main screen...unfortunately the most important!!!
Anyone has found a better way to solve...
