Don't know if this will help you, but if you slide it open you can use the keyboard to get to navigate around your contact list while in landscape mode. (ie. Hit 'F' to get to Falter).

This works for the N900 too! The volume was too low when watching avi files via the tvout. This fixed it! :D
EDIT: Exactly 2 years and 1 week later! It helps someone else, on a newer device.

I flashed using Lehtos' 125-800 kernel 3 days ago. I usually use my phone to browse over wifi and play around with games (if I have the chance). My battery level used to drop to about 50% by the time...

I've had this too. To get around it, I normally slide open the physical keyboard, slide it closed and the virtual keyboard seems to appear after tapping in a field.

I am assuming that you can stream certain things fine via UPNP like mpeg4, but avi files do not work. If so, please see this thread http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=40523 and vote on the bug....

Noticed that when using the front camera with the mirror app that the band that used to appear 3/4 of the screen to the right side has disappeared. The quality is still rubbish. :)
