You don't turn it on when flashing using 'Flasher 3.5' from a PC. Yank the battery, put the battery back in DONOT turn on the N900. Connect the USB lead to the PC and open the keyboard on the N900....

Sudo won't work use "/usr/sbin/kernel-config" instead of sudo. Also don't just go "root" from xterminal on first opening use sudo gainroot.

Don't ask me why the above works, it just does. My N900...

Been here before with the then new 16Gig cards came out. The N900, like any other device that takes microSD cards will take a 32Gig one. 32Gig is, however the largest a microSD card can be.

You can count pixels, try and find the contrast ratio of different screens and the refresh rate of the screens. Whether a device has a dedicated GPU (that is utilised fully) could affect performance...

People get confused about the quality of an image, or more frequently what something sounds like. The easy answer is go into a phone shop with your N900 and compare the two screens side by side....
