l met the same error and reflashed the kernel only solved the problem. No need to reflash the whole rootfs.

Thanks for the tip, but it doesn't work. The mce.ini is the original file as I have reflashed the phone. If I remove it, and reboot, it does show up once with the orange light, so it may be related...

The led seems dead. I have reflashed the OS, and checked with healthcheck. No luck with that. What else can I do to make sure it is actually dead? Should I return it to Amazon for an exchange? It is...

Where did you save your package? under documents? then you need to cd to that dir instead of MyDocs. use ls to check whether the package exists or not.
