I also followed LondonBenji's instructions and it seems to have worked.
I did run these instructions from within midnight commander not xterm however.

This is already in a few threads guys.
I had same issue - its apparently a corrupt database. I followed these instructions and it fixed it right up....

for n00bs such as myself, you need to have rootsh and midnightcommander installed. ;)
