It was only the modem module de-balling that forced me to the Pinephone which I was not quite ready to everyday drive. Can you imagine if Nokia/Maemo had kept at providing a real Linux experience...

Yes, you have a newer modem then. The stock flash will do nothing to help you but this will work.

Remember to use root(sudo su) not sudo to do your modem...
