MaemoMapper will show the distance of the track you are on. You can insert a mark, then (even set a hardware key to invoke) and click Show distance from last mark, -or- Show distance from beginning....

My screen says lit during a slideshow on the built-in images app.

I bought one of those 75 watt inverters which plugs into a cigar lighter in the car. The little charger that comes with the unit...

My N810 said to remove the screen protector or the touch screen wouldn't work properly.

Maybe it's winter road noise, heater fan, ice crunching beneath the tires, the roar of the Jeep engine, or ears having heard too much loud rock music and gun shots, but I have a very hard time...

Installed the latest version for the N810 and it works great. Found my GPS with no problem. I am however having difficulty finding the dev for flite. I'd love to try the voice announcements.
