Yeah, the server it's hosted on is down for the last few days because it runs Windows, I guess. I'll send the host a ticket to reboot it so it runs another month or so.

That's good to hear. It almost has to help a little bit, so in theory it doesn't matter if you can notice it or not. Some of the lag is caused by the device needing to move data around on the flash...

Most people will overclock 10-20%, and you won't really notice the difference with that small of an increase. It's mostly a free performance boost (some battery loss), so still worth it in my...

This got returned because the power / volume up buttons don't work.
Finally took it apart today, looks like Nokia probably sent me a broken one as there should be no stress on this flexible pcb but...

yes just do the modprobe thing every time you boot, the ui will probably work...
assuming the module works. did anyone test it on this kernel? "it compiled" isn't really a test.

Yeah but does /proc/opptimizer exist right now on your phone? What does that output if it exists?

Do they work from the command line if you load them manually? Are you just complaining that they need to be loaded manually when you restart the phone? I don't understand the problem yet.

It's okay, mine isn't defective, I just meant that it's frustrating to use. I like having stuff like updated maps and other apps which is basically impossible on the n9.

No, sorry. It doesn't work like that. I really don't believe Nokia "overclocked" the CPU in a phone through an update. It was probably tested at the higher speed by Texas Instruments, but Nokia tried...

I agree it's not worth even $1000, but I guess a lot of people that use n900 are in love with the hwkb. I recently gave up on the n9, the battery seems to die way too fast and the software on it...

I didn't buy the Jolla phone because they're idiots and won't sell it here. Apparently they didn't learn anything since leaving Nokia.
