Your not the only one.
My app manager feels dead slooow. It takes 30 sec to remove the Forcea/Amazon/Favebook installers... and that's at 850 mhz! Some times the catagory images are slow to load...

Which is swap, aka hard drive space and not ram like PipBoy posted. The device has 256MB of ram, not 1GB of ram. It has 768MB of SWAP space, using the Linux swap fs.

If you have an Android device it's not hard to add the Google apps to a no apps build (aka Cyanogen.) There are scripts on xda devs for Cyano, so it should just be a case of running one of those.

Agreed, the free headphones are rubbish. They are 'muddy' and are the worst in-ears I've ever used. Even the knock-off Sony Ericsson ones I bought off ebay for a pound for my W800i were better!

Rubbish. I had flash support on my G1 a few months back. The HTC Hero has flash, and the Droid has flash too.
The owners of all devices with flash are all waiting for Flash 10.1 for the GPU...
