I had a similar issue but for me flashing it fixed the problem. My advice? Get rid of this piece of junk and move on. Sorry.

You're not alone. The N900 is an undisputed piece of c**p by today's standards only loved by a few Linux geeks. Glad Nokia killed maemo/meego, it was going nowhere.

Trust me my friend: I could not care less about Nokia announcements. But I do think it's good for them to try something different. Symbian and to a lesser extent Maemo/Meego have been driving Nokia...

I don't buy the rosy picture. Maemo, Meego, Symbian and QT are all dead in my eyes. I'm not faulting Nokia, they did what they had to do, just stating the fact.
