I use Mappero a lot, but you need an internet conenction to get the routing from Google. There is a way to get spoken direction using eSpeak (but they don't sound very good). Sygic is also nice, but...

I just used my sipgate account data and it worked well. Maybe you could try registering a sipgate account (free) for troubleshooting?

I have SIP working via EPlus (Simyo) and Sipgate. To make it work I had to disable the G729 Codec by modifying part of the /etc/stream-engine/gstcodecs.conf to:

there seems to be a problem opening GIF images, which is anoying since the german "Deutsche Bahn" sends their online tickets in this format.

A problem with (animated) GIF was reported once...

There is also a bug filed on this issue. Apparently the problem is in the RSS-applet which tries to exit offline mode and blocks the alarm window with its own dialog.

Evince seems to run fine if you install the package from the OS2008-repository with dpkg and then add the dependencies via apt-get.
