My bad ! yes I didnot uninstall any old apps...just went for the pr 1.2 upgrade straight on.....I think thats what cauded it ? innit ? Will the flashing work in this case ?

No, nothing. I just tried an OTA for PR 1.2 and the endless loop thingy happened...I'm going to reflash now using maemo flasher. Do you have to flash the emmc also or only flashing the firmware is...

Same thing happened to me...PR 1.2 bricked my n900 :( I did OTA and it just doesnt start, keeps showing the nokia screen and goes in an endless restarting loop.
I'm now downloading the firmware...
