ok, i did some more testing last night. i turned off the auto-disconnect app i'd been using (which successfully dropped the connection down to 2G from 3G, but i was having the data connection...

like the topic says, i've given up on the iphone (3G 16GB) and i've moved to the N900. I'm enjoying it, so far, but there's some issues i'd like to address, the largest of which involves the N900's...
