if you installed it now, you don't need to download it. and also you never need to download...

you should add extras-devel repository first.
for installation go to http://repository.maemo.org/ , search for "Fremantle Extras-devel" and click the "install" link.
do all this in your N900...

yes. it is true
and you dont need to download HAM. it is built in. just click the "app. manager" icon.
also you can install QCPUFreq instead of max cpu

I tested the latest kubuntu mobile 11.10 Daily builds, but till now there isn't any noticeable changes.
I think we should wait for beta released.

1- because when i dd or 'zcat' the kubuntu-mobile.raw image to the first ext3 partition of my mircosd, the partition was corrupted. so i first dd it to...

i installed kubuntu mobile 11.10 on my n900, following the instruction of ianlawrence, the os runs but:
- the mobile plasma not runniing
- no modem adapter (wlan-gsm)
