Usb port of my 26 months old N900 was still fine (I filed down usb plug's hooks since day one and always plugged and unplugged very gently), but as the warranty...

I wonder how many of you getting the usb port broken tried to prevent this by filing down the connector teeth. That reduces the plugging/unplugging force to almost zero.

I did this the day my n900...

Are you still using nokia ac-10 1200mAh micro-usb charger or some other model trough the CA-146C micro-usb adapter? In this case the problem might be insufficient charging power.

Did you get any response from nokia? I'm going to buy an N900, but since I read about this isuue I'm concerned about how nokia care here in Italy deals with this kind of problem...it's really scaring...
