Re: Need advice: Which phone next?
I definitely agree that Nokia hardware far exceed anything I've used from its competitors. It was almost enough to bring me to the Windows phones -- but I'm a Linux user on my desktop so that was...

Re: Need advice: Which phone next?
Thousands? Oh man, I must have overlooked a whole category or something. I saw one that was somewhat related but the user didn't mind switching to an Android device. Not exactly the same as looking...

Anyways, I'm thinking of getting a new phone. I'm definitely not going with Apple or...

Re: Battery Dies too Quickly
When you say showing the same behavior, do you mean from my original post? This is the first time I've posted my powertop output.
And yeah, it's still draining like crazy :( I could check out the...

Disable 2G/3G
Is it possible to disable the Cellular Data Services? I have it blocked from AT&T's side so I know it shouldn't be able to send/receive. I'd just like to reduce my battery/cpu consumption if there is...

It's actually an Itronix Gobook 2 I picked up off of ebay for $125. I'm going to try to just use Debian first to see what all drivers and hardware works. When I have more information about what works...

Re: Battery Dies too Quickly
I agree that removing applications that are not actively running won't do much to help the battery drain issues.
This phone is brand "spanking" new :) Also, I don't know if it makes much of a...

Re: Battery Dies too Quickly
Umm, I'm sure it wouldn't make a difference in terms of discharging the battery. But I do appreciate the suggestion from HellFlyer. It helps keep my system clean and reduce the # of possible...

Hey guys,
I just bought a touch-screen, tough book laptop for my 2 year old son. He can't use mice but he's great with touch screens. I'm basically just trying to set it up so he can easily watch...
