Well it's situational.
Used mine as primary for a very, very long time.
But the time has come for me too, I needed apps for my work and pretty much for my daily life that Maemo cannot provide...

Sad.
I hate Fb, but its neccessary evil now... most people dont even check their mail.. so, if Fb chat stays dead on N900, then N900 is pretty much dead as IM device for me. :(
