For zImage i unpacked (the kernel) from latest firmware.bin and i placed the zImage there.




After typing the above, the msg appears on the upper right saying "Wired Network: Disconnected."...

My n900 doesn't seem to like rescueOS.
Thru ubuntu, i load rescueOS with flasher and after i type:
/rescueOS/mass-storage-enable.sh
It says:

I used even ubuntu live cd. That think just do not want to open.
I have to take my files from there.

I think the contacts are stored in /home/user/.osso-abook.
Look there if there any files.

Hi,
i used VMware player to run Windows Xp.
I flashed the kernel using:
flasher-3.5 -F <firmware-image> --flash-only=kernel -f -R
unfortunately that didn't solved the problem. My phone still dont...

I found by searching on google that Harmatan flasher does not work for the n900.
I have win 7 x64. The drivers for n900 are installed (only on usb2 slot), which my laptop has only one. ...

[where on image = RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2.203.1_PR_COMBINED_203_ARM]
on flasher 3.12

I recently installed easy-debian on my N900 and after doubled the image size using this command:
dd if=/dev/zero bs=1M count=1048576 >> /path/to/image.ext3

lol.
i fixed by typing in xterm:
apt-get install mediaplayer
with internet connection.
And i presses it for fun being sure that an error will occur.
