Unhappy Broken MicroUSB Socket - Best way to fix

Hello friends!

Today, my worst nightmare became reality.
The USB socket (which I thought was soldered well enough to resist gentle use) tore off a board.

I've been using CloudGPS for a while, I didn't know it was possible to use pre-downloaded maps. I think I found the right app.

By preloading I mean downloading maps of the area before I actually go out. There are mostly no coverage areas above 3500+ meters high, so I'm not always being able to use my network to download...

Yes, of course.

I think the problem has something to do with repositories. I've only enabled extras, but then it says "Version v48 is in Extras-Devel repository".

I've installed with "apt-get...

Shouldn't it be 48?...

No vibration, no switching, just this yellow light for a millisecond while connecting. Nothing more.
