I afraid I don't have time either :( If you like, I may try to integrate changes into extkbd and evdev packages. But I won't be able to do any continuous support.

I changed evdev_drv.so to be able to handle keyboard and mouse events separately. Driver source was taken from
xserver-xorg-input-evdev-mouse-2.1.99-1osso20090206.12.tar.gz...

2) Did you install libid3tag and libmad?
You could try ldd /usr/local/lib/moc/decoder_plugins/libmp3* to find what's missing.

This is not the case (at least for me).
1. I tried to use pactl which configures pulseaudio dynamically (no config files are changed).
2. Adding nonexistent ALSA device doesn't crash pulseaudio.

Yes, the normal way to handle HW keys in MOC would be to modify xterm. Terminal apps rely on terminal to deliver keypresses. We may try other terminal emulators and see how do they handle volume...

I got to the point where pulse configuration looked sane. As I understood, it did show the alsa usb device, but any attempt to switch audio output (move sink input?) and then playing something ...

Right. Moc configuration allows to specify alsa device.

Attached moc is compiled from "vanilla" 2.4.4 source on scratchbox. Enter key didn't work initially, so I added special enter key mapping...

I can share the moc binary. Is not packaged, but all required libs are already ported to maemo. As for pulse, I didn't succeed anyway.

How long did the "exposure" last? Actually the battery can't stand that temp. Basically it won't supply enough current once cooled down.
