the only thing we have to port (i think) is dalvik. dalvik is the java vm of the android environment. who need the android ui? we only need the great apps which will be released to android to run on...

I hope I'll get the new android apps on my n800 with maemo. Dalvik MUST BE PORTED! :)
who is interested in starting a new port? (although I'm not really familiar with framebuffer and stuff...)

now we only need to find a way to compile dalvik in maemo sdk.
dunno how compatible the Android.mk with Makefile

wins udhcpc samba - how? and why not?

I've been trying to make udhcpc write wins servers to /etc/samba/dhcp.conf, so I can add
include = /etc/samba/dhcp.conf
to the smb.conf and my home net will see my n800, BUT
if I follow this...

i haven't said anything about performance. but the possibility to do that.

the only thing a found about qemu and n800 is that n800 runs under qemu in pc. so i dunno.

i do not own a n800 myself....

am I wrong or am I wrong, but there were attempts to run wine on arm:

and wine runs on sparc and ppc so it's not impossible to run wine on...
